  1. In 1984, when I was a student, I had students from Nagaland, Manipur, Shillong, Guwahati studying in our school in Himachal. And many of them are my friends even today after 50 years. I taught in Assam for 7 years among the people of N.E. So brother Don't spread misinformation. 1999 is way too far. Only illiterate people from gobar patti didn't know where Nagaland was or for that matter any other state other than theirs. Did Nagas know where Haryana Or Kerala was in 1999?? Don't exaggerate. People are not stupid!! Everybody is not from Gujarat where people only know US other than their country!!
