  1. Neat ideas, but you really shouldn't assume that the moon and life are unrelated is a major oversight in the approach. There's no reason to think a stabilizing shield like the moon didn't play a significant role in creating the churning of the primordial soup. Moon used to be way closer to Earth before too, tides and bulging would be dramatic in the early years of earth.
