Gravitational waves are ripples in space-time, a fabric of reality which can fold over and through itself. So although information and mass and energy can't escape black holes, waves from inside a singularity can propagate out of one because as cosmic inflation theory teaches us - space itself can move faster than light and emergence can occur outside of time and from within a singularity (big bang theory). It may be possible to detect anomalies or indirect eminations from black holes by gravitational waves. This is just one known possibility but its enough to prove that your statement that this is unknowable is itself not knowable yet, have still much to discover from gravity and space-time. Also, plenty of math inconsistencies persist (like root of minus 1 being i)
