  1. Just for context: usa has 80 cargo ships, China has over 5,500 and a culture of corruption. It isn't a stretch to presume the ship's crew were bribed or blackmailed into the accident. It's not always the government in control, they're just not that competent or efficient. Even individual billionaires could afford to sabotage a negotiation or arbitrage at the scale of personal wealth. I'm not saying it was or wasn't China, but I am saying it's naive to assume there's a likely culprit based on the information at hand.
