  1. I will never understand why high income people can't live in a small apartment and take transit for a year to save up a downpayment. Most of everyone else lives like that for their entire lives and and those high income earners believe that's fair, so why can't they do it for one year to save for a mcmansion like everyone else always has? It boggles the mind how qualifying more higher value homes is going to make housing affordable. All of these benefits go to the banks and people who already own property, once again. This is exactly what brought the problem along in the first place in the 90's.
