Uncharacteristically poor analysis imho. The rockets cost $5,000... Israel's defense system costs $500,000. Hezbollah's "rockets" don't ever kill anyone, they're costing Israel money and antagonizing them to prove a point to the global community that Israel are psychopaths just like Hamas was doing.
It's not a war. These aren't sides attacking one another. Hamas has been willing to sign a ceasefire, Israel kept refusing or making claims that Hamas/Hezbollah couldn't agree to like allowing IDF on Egypt's border. Egypt isn't controlled by Hamas or Hezbollah. Only Netanyahu has been forcing further violence the whole time, that's verifiable and it would be easy to see in any research if you follow a single months news cycle because Biden would say "we're close to a ceasefire, Israel agreed" in the same week that Israel's government deny every agreeing while escalating tensions.
Netanyahu is supposed to be on trial for corruption and war crimes, he needs a war to stay out of jail. He's clearly and obviously murdering entire populations with heavy bombs paid for by usa taxpayers to cling to power (just like Trump wants to do btw).
You really missed the mark thinking this is a war not a massacre, thinking this is de-escalation, or that Houthis/Hezbollah/Hamas were ever trying to "win". Iran isn't coordinating anything either, their just offering money because interests align, much like USA did with kurds more recently and Taliban pre-911.
There's no "ongoing war", it's jabs and attrition just as it has always been for decades.
Watch al Jazeera or zeteo, or read Norman Finkelstein or Noam Chomsky for a real overview. This video got the events right but completely lost the context trying to rush out an oversimplification based on an objectively one-sided slate of sources.
BTW, access to TOR network means they still have messaging, email and all sorts of coordination tools. Pagers were convenience, not pivotal to the revolution lol they're pausing because they're human and trying to free themselves from oppression without any assistance from anyone on earth no matter how battered and brutalized by Israel. They're not trying to go back to suicide bombing, that's not a solution. They're trying diplomacy, ICJ, pleading to neighbours, enforcement of UN resolutions, they tried fighting for themselves using proportional force, and they tried to just live with it but settlements and abuse persisted anyway.
I have no skin in this game at all, I'm not just picking a side to be cool. I can see and read for myself. You just need to spend more time listening to the people involved and the scholars who spent their lives covering it and speaking up about the decades of ignored atrocities. Learn some economics to understand the motive for the rockets, and check the stats to see the damage and death toll of those rockets, which Israel uses as justification to wipe a population out.
"armed militia", 30:13 by the way, is the only justification for Americans with guns. If you're going to say it derogatory like that then you should out the same tone and emphasis on most Americans too, because their rights to bear arms relies on them being party to well regulated armed militia if we read the whole sentence of the constitution we proudly quote for the right we proudly exercise.
Hezbollah is not different from America, and Hamas has handled occupation with a much lighter touch than Americans or any other country I've ever seen, given the time its been endured the apartheid, 2-class, system of human rights.
Hamas and Hezbollah have done nothing like what the west did in Iraq after being massacred, but we've learned so little we sponsor another Iraq through Israel and pretend this is a "war" or a dispute, when we'd all be doing Hamas/Hezbollah shit if we were living out entire lives in Gaza the past 30 years.
God damn man, the self-righteousness and lack of self awareness when casting casual aspersions of a population's character for current event ignorant of the root cause, the restraint, the attempts at dilplomacy, and the intent of attacks to strain Goliath S's budgets... You just got so many facts right but got the context, finger wags, comparisons, and perspectives completely backwards. I really hope anyone taking the time to watch this whole thing actually double checks the merit of your conjectures. I think it's such a seriously reckless effort making a video like this without consulting a single person who held a slightly different view from the scripted news stories in your American recommendation feed.
