VW is a corporation, not designed to be philanthropic. Why would they create the new market when they're making money selling soon to be obsolete appliances? They'll make twice as much later the more diesel engines are built and sold now. Not to mention they have production scale that's unmatched. Anyone else comes out with a revolutionary design for sustainable transportation and VW can reverse engineer it. Then they are the biggest producer in a new market with now investment for r&d and they've capitalized selling fraudulent product, tragically playing their marketing directly at our exposed vulnerabilities.. It's a corporation.
