  2. Ya, sanctions only work on democracies.. No kidding. And even in democracies it hurts residents. Revenues unchanged from the government's perspective. More domestic trade means more links in the tax chain. Cutting international flows creates demand in domestic flows so the system actually becomes more robust from sanctions, at the expense of quality of life. Curious, does anybody think about the meaning of their reactions anymore? Nobody blinks at the income gap and just assumes the world is naturally scarce regardless of productivity?
