  1. Why? Why is vim so popular and needing all these patches though? It's a text editor... Who wants anything that complicated??

  2.  @SianaGearz  that helps me understand the appeal a bit better, thanks for that. It's really daunting, even vscode gets overwhelming but the interface is a lot more approachable lol

  3.  @talideon  "nothing" complicated about it? Are we looking at the same thing? lol I guess it's subjective. I used to build websites in notepad for years (in the 2000's); I'm a simple creature when it comes to text editors.
