  1. Why not just fork the kernel and have the entire kernel rewritten in rust with the help of ai code generator? We should apply version controls to major changes. If the task looks too daunting then automate it and delegate. That's my opinion

  2.  @theroboman727  We do have a ton of training data, every tutorial runs through the same types of projects. Compare one tutorial for a to-do list in Rust with another in C. Compare comments to C code and man pages and kernel documentation to Rust documentation and compiler docs. There are tons of ways to get training data for transpiling code, Babel is a perfect example, and copilot with github, and books, and ghidra, etc, etc, etc. All it takes is some creativity, it's not a question of possible or capable.
