  1. Being forced to use Nvidia is reeeeallly annoying and hurts me ethically. I desperately want amd GPUs on Linux to "just work", it's the hardest part of transitioning to Linux even as a certified computer technician since 2002 (not computer illiterate) - the ONLY hard thing about moving completely to FOSS tools for development, graphics, video, audio and 3d production (as well as office admin blah blah but that was easy) was gpu support. Right from the installation process to building ffmpeg from source to learning about appimage, snaps, flatpak, apt, etc. The ONLY hard part and the hardest part has always been gpu support for machine learning and general display management. It's brutal I'd kill for a mesa / nouveau driver that actually worked better than my old 32mb Radeon from 2002...
