As a Canadian, USA tariffs are not at all devastating. Our trade agreements required us to sell below value to USA to appease arrogant neighbours. Without USA, everyone on earth wants what we have to trade if we no longer need to supply energy, plastics and lumber to a whiny neighbour amid a housing crisis. We'll be fine.
Hey, I bet UK would have some use for construction lumber, cement made from our abundance of hydro and nuclear power we used to sell to USA, our fish, livestock, tech, and tech sector since our trained talent no longer gets to make 3x incomes working in America after our great schools train them.
Have you any idea how much grain Italy and Egypt wish they could buy more from us?
Canada is fine without America. We'll pirate their entertainment and sell resources to people who need and appreciate it. I bet UK would appreciate discounted oil and gas like we were offering USA (the world's largest oil producer was importing our oil for years. Now you can buy it instead, or Japan...)
