Boxing itself isn't about Race or Nationality. Those things come from outside. Hell, the overwhelming majority of my favorite Boxers historically have much darker colored skin than mine. I've always appreciated a fighter's skill and dedication to their craft and never given their color any thought.

As far as the gloves looking suspicious, why do you think only extremely biased pro-Wilder Youtubers are pushing #Glovegate? Go watch Ali vs Foreman and you can see the same slapping and flicking tactics used by Ali. The reason the usual suspects like BB, Barbershop and YP are pushing this thing about the gloves is for clickbait and because they can't accept that Wilder got beat and are grasping at straws. @2308521 Not sure where you are getting this "his gloves were worn illegally" line from unless that's what the LDBC channels are telling you. In the first fight he flicked so many times the glove started slipping further off later in the fight. He even pointed to them to show the ref at one point, that's not exactly hiding it now is it? He even presses the glove back in at one point when it is slipping. Did you even watch the video? There were no issues like that in the second fight. You can keep saying there were if you want but I can't it seriously.

@2308521 There's a big difference between "incorrectly" and "illegally" now isn't there? One can be a malfunction and one implies ill intent. Can you explain how having a loose glove is a benefit and not a hindrance? When he had to stop and reset his glove in the round and even tried to point it out to the Ref how is that him cheating exactly? I'm pretty sure those two things occured in the same round and it was fixed in the corner afterward anyway. So again, this whole "he cheated because his glove was loose" line the LDBC is feeding people is just ridiculous on it's face.

@2308521 Sadly I just don't believe you. The thumb being loose and having to be reattached in the Hammer fight has ZERO to do with the claims the LDBC are making about #Glovegate. In 30 fights you can point to two situations where Fury had issues with his gloves. Using that to say he "consistently" cheats with his left glove is just ridiculous. Like I said before, you can keep saying this stuff if you want but you might as well get used to Boxing fans laughing you off.

Like I've said already, pertaining to the glove problem in the first Wilder fight you can clearly see him try to point out to the Ref there is a problem with his glove and he even has to stand still in the middle of the round to push his fist further into the glove. It's not a conspiracy and there is no evidence that it was ever intentional, especially in the first Wilder fight. Why try to show the Ref if he wanted it loose? That's nonsensical. Again, you can keep repeating your line if you want but don't expect to be taken seriously.

Explain to me why (in the first Wilder fight) Fury tries to point out to the Ref that there is a problem with his glove if you think he was trying to hide it so he could somehow cheat with it? He even has to stop mid round to push his fist back in tighter. The way Boxing gloves are designed a loose glove is a hindrance, not a benefit. That whole argument don't make no sense man.

Pretty sure all of the footage the LDBC are using comes from the same round where Fury tries to complain to the Ref about his glove and even stops in the center of the ring to push his glove on tighter. If he was cheating why would he try to tell the Ref about it is my question for the LDBC? From what I remember it wasn't even an issue outside of that round. The corner must have fixed it.

@Brazconj I only brought it up because the LDBC Youtubers (BlueBlood, Barbershop, Young Pharaoh, Champside) are the bunch pushing the #Glovegate narrative that Fury somehow cheated with his gloves in both Wilder fights. I just have to at least try to point out this is nonsense when I see it. How do you see the re-rematch fight going on July 18th by the way? My birthday is the next day and even though I'm not really looking forward to a third fight between them I'm going to try to get excited for it anyway when it comes along.

@corneliuslamb5033 I'm not an expert on horse-hair gloves though from what I do know they are more flexible because of their composition. Those $2,000+ gloves are way above my paygrade. If you are one of those who thinks Fury's fist was in the wrist section of the glove I can tell you how to debunk it for yourself though. Put on your gloves (buy/borrow a pair if you don't have any) then turn on the 2nd fight and practice every shot Fury throws, with your first in the wrist section, on a heavy bag or a wall. Then sue YP and the LDBC for all I care. Or just keep listening to these goofy Youtubers who don't know shit about Boxing and keep claiming #Glovegate is real. Just know ahead of time you are going to be laughed at by the Boxing community as long as you do. shrug

Out of the bunch you mentioned Groves is the only one I can say I ever had any respect for. That's 4 opinions against 100s if not 1000s. If the "evidence" is really as convincing as you say why are they in such a tiny, microscopic minority? It's the equivalent of finding a handful of celebrities who claim the Earth is flat, while 99% of the rest know better. Get a piece of paper, write those 4 and any others you come across down on one side, then write down literally every other Boxer, trainer or analyst who has said this is a dumbass conspiracy theory. Fair warning, that second list is going to take you A LOT longer to compile.

Funny how it wasn't ever brought up until Wilder got knocked around the ring over a year later isn't it? 😒 Instead of grasping at straws to rationalize your guy getting completely beat down in a Boxing match and relying conspiracy theory videos by Youtubers maybe you should just sit down and rewatch the fights a few times. Plenty of "dirty" veteran Boxing tactics used by Fury to be sure but if you think that is even remotely uncommon you haven't watched much Boxing before. Go rewatch the fights, especially the rematch. While you are at it go back and watch the first Ortiz fight where Wilder hit Ortiz with more windmilling wrist and forearm hits to the back of the head than you can even count without playing it in slow motion. I've yet to hear any Wilder fans upset about how Ortiz was treated. Zero consistency. You only care now because your guy lost and you can't accept it.

@corneliuslamb5033 After being lambasted as a racist by the overwhelming amount of Wilder fans I talk to (because that is the main angle of the LDBC) I admit I just assumed that's what you were alluding to. I'm from Tuscaloosa so I didn't even consider the U.K. angle. I had to look up Cunningham after you said that because I thought he was a U.K. fighter too, I was wrong. As far as the back of the head shots from Fury in the second fight, did you not see Wilder hitting the back of his head as well? I remember watching the fight the second time around and thinking to myself "He is in there trying to beat Wilder at his own game." I think Fury's gameplan to smother Wilder actually worked against him in the fight. After Wilder was clearly out of the fight, instead of coming in with those big long hooks, Fury should have stayed back a step and threw more straights, if he had I think the dight would have been over even sooner. He stuck to the plan he came in with and smothered his own shots. As far as compelling evidence for #Glovegate... I just don't see it. All of the footage from the first fight came from the same round. The round where Fury even points to his left glove trying to get the Ref's attention that something was wrong with it. If he was intentionally trying to "cheat" why in the hell would he tell on himself? And again, why is it only coming out as a complaint now, over a year later, after Wilder lost? As far as the second fight goes I haven't seen anything to convince me Fury was intentionally punching with his wrist because his fist was hidden there. If it was then how do you explain all of the heavy jabs that landed straight and moved Wilder back? Seriously, what is the "compelling evidence" for this claim?
