While you are doing that, compare the total number of Nobel Laureates in the tiny UK, compared to the whole continent of Africa.   9. It is a myth that Europeans enslaved Africans. They bought the already enslaved slaves from Africans. The Africans have been enslaving each other for thousands of years, selling many of them to the Arabs for at least two thousand years, many were also sold to the Ottomans. It was the UK that ended slavery across Africa, to a very great extent. The Royal Navy patrolled the West coast for many decades to enforce the ban on the trans Atlantic shipment.. Unfortunately the trade continued across the Arabian Gulf right up to the middle on the 20th. Century.
