  1. Fearing or disliking an ideology is not the same as fearing or hating people. As for those who formerly returned to North Africa, there were no welfare benefits in those days.

  2.  @richardenders6606  I hate communism, but I don't hate the Chinese, Vietnamese or North Koreans. On the other hand, I would both fear and hate a devotee of Chinese style communism who tried, by various means, to force that ideology onto people in the UK.
