  2.  @scottjohnstone6204  Tax credits were introduced by Labour in 1999, it was a bribe expecting it would increase working class support from the Labour Party. It is a terrible benefit because it subsidises companies who want to continue to pay low wages. Why should I subsiidise MacDonalds and Amazon?
