  2. Similar attacks on farmers have happened in several countries across Europe. In the end, I believe that the farmers will win, but there will be some pain in the meantime. As the late and great Fred Dibnah said; "The UK was built by men in overalls and destroyed by men in suits". The metropolitan luvvies have no idea about rural life. In my view, nobody should have to pay inheritance tax.

  6.  @davidrees7059  Not how it works. If they sell up, it will be bought by massively wealthy investors, who have already forced prices to rise by investing in land to avoid taxes. Farmers are asset rich, but cash poor. A combined harvester is worth about 500,000, a tractor about 250,000. They make huge investments but their profits and income are extremely low.
