The French President has threatened the Paris authorities that he might take control of its budget, because the commie government has racked up debts of 7.7 billion Euros. The UK economy is doing better than both Germany and France. France also has a democracy deficit. If M Le President thinks he cannot get his way in the National Assembly, he simply passes a law himself. That has not been possible in the UK for several hundred years.
