@bonsummers2657 Not the case at all. Hitler was using ethnicity and language to build an Empire. Russia is trying to rebuild its lost Empire. Ukraine is not the first to lose land to Russia.

@squig808 Imperial Russia and the USSR did so much harm and caused so much pain and sorrow . People seem to have forgotten much of this. No different with the commies of China.

There us video of the ballot counters opening the boxes during the so-called referendum. It clearly shows many of the ballots as being unmarked at all. That suggests that voting was compulsory, so those who objected to the farcical exercise decided to abstain in the only way they could. That left many ballots which could be filled in by the counters.
