  1. Not only do we not respect them, we don't trust them. The police are policing everything except crime. A complete waste of money. Funding levels are not the problem. The real problem is poor prioritisation of tasks and targets. Write hurty words about islam on the internet, several coppers will come to your door. Report a burglary and you will get a crime number over the phone, a copper will never darken your door.
