@mokenetgumshoe1064 <--Ah! The reason for existence! The "evolution" of the universe is merely the outward appearance of the resolution of the Cosmic Error. The short of it goes something like this:
We are frozen in a cosmic moment of recognition/realization belonging to the Primordial Void, that chaos of all-potential that provides the backdrop of existence. In the beginning--literally--, It recognized the impossible: repetition in the state of the Void. Being utterly chaotic, only random organizational states should be possible. But the impossible happened: all tied up in this instantaneous recognition are principles of "reflection", then "memory", then "multiplicity/unity", then BANG, God (consciousness) is "born", from an error in cosmic nature, a mistake that explained itself in terms of "time". WE and our entire existence IS the process of experiencing to resolution this frozen stare-down of the Void and God, as they grapple with the incongruous state of recognition precipitated by the error. Time was, both, the manifestation of the error, and the mechanism of its solution; it had to be...contained. Existence is how Time contains the Error. We are an integral part of the resolution of this cosmic error. As loci of consciousness, we are agents, witting or unwitting, of the universe as it evolves to contain, and then absorb the Error. This cosmic maturation process is the purpose of ours and all existence--but NOT selfishly, not for our own benefit, but for the benefit of the Void. "Correction" of the Error is by the integration of consciousness, which is essentially the nature of the Error. But there's still no going back; no going back to an insensible Void comprising the totality of existence. In some form or manner or other, we're "here" to stay: "Time" is going to have to be incorporated into the style of the ongoing unfolding. No physical universe of time run amok, but gradated dimensionality, to serve the purpose better. Time is the primary prerequisite for Existence.

"Physical satan"?! Isn't that an oxymoron! We suffer perpetually: sensation, joy, sorrow, etc. You choose your comfort range, and fight to maintain its perimeter; with any luck you get around to expanding that perimeter. The eastern notion of "hell" is educative: you expect to come back after learning to be better. The Chinese conception is rather sophisticated, with many clearly defined levels and zones. It's similar in the western conception: hell is where you "burn out" your evil desires by experiencing the desire without any experience of satisfaction. It's all about character development in the face of mastery...think about it...However, the utility of such an approach to life depends on a sense of post-lifetime continuance. And no materialist, whether styled, "satanist", or just "atheist", has this sense. I think I remember Styx's sentiments: "Worm food...that's all we are in the end". I find atheist types shallow...there's an important level of nuance simply unavailable to them...they'll never imagine that they can fold the sides of the box they're in...they feel there exists restraint from which they cannot free themselves...there's a box they can't think outside of...

@douglascramer1501 <--I assumed the "origin" is just that, a beginning state surpassed by the "destination". Your statement denoted a return to the origin, as if to restart the cycle anew with no qualification (i.e. "higher arc"). My assumption, as you stated it, is essentially correct, since "the past" is generally considered to be unchangeable, "incapable of growth or regression". I can allow for the possibility of changing the past...but that's irrelevant to the current point. That is, I had good reason to "assume that this origin...point is a place that is incapable, etc." Won't you agree? Spiritual maturation through cycles of physical experience is a stage in the process of spiritual progression. When you're done with that development, there's further work to do elsewhere...But the point about spiritual development is irrelevant to the matter of my "mistake in reasoning". What I cited as "nihilistic" was the notion that developmental cycles simply repeat, from their original beginnings. That's how the materialist's universe behaves...

Schrodinger's Snuffleupagus <--My considered opinion: Originally, there was only the Primordial Void, perfectly fecund with every potential, seething infinitely. Then the statistically impossible happened (the goal of every cosmos architect): a repeated Void state! This repetition, being incompatible with the nature of Chaos, was instantly ejected, in a sort of herniation, the complete repeated Void state. This one state is the source pattern of Primordial Order. And it wants to return to the chaotic void that birthed it, but is incompatible, being a oneness, as it is now. The lesson of the ejection from the Void was its process: first the repetition of state is realized by reflection, which is the mechanism of memory, and the impetus to awareness; at ejection there is the experience of "otherness", which engenders "ORDER". So, an interface was "jointly" devised: the One Mind. The universe is, indeed, mental. The operative principle of the One Mind is association, by resonant interaction. The One Mind, born of its parents, CHAOS and ORDER, serves to relate them in their misguided quest to reunite. Should they ever succeed, all of manifestation would simply cease, as if obliterated in a moment. But they can't succeed...they have a CHILD, now! hehehe...There's no going back, even for the cosmos. Forward, ho!
