Look into certain experiments performed some decades ago, involving "altering" circadian rhythms, almost exclusively by regulating the daylight cycle. If I remember correctly, they did discover the genetic basis of the tendency to be more or less sensitive to the daylight cycle.

Idk, seems more likely that being an asshole online would lead to being an asshole IN PERSON! hehehe One of the seminal experiences of my adolescent life was the discovery that using a lot of cuss words had the effect of depressing my internal vocabulary; my thinking became as emotional as the cuss words made me feel. Needless to say, I stopped cussing--I mean I found a proper balance involving the most sparing use of such language. Then my thinking settled out. The moral of the story: oversimplification is a natural choice when faced with overwhelming complexity...uh, wait a minute...I'm really bad with morals of stories, since I lean more towards the amoral than the moral. To ME, the LESSON was the recognition of an active feedback loop, emotion <--> thought, that also included the physical body. C'mon...even Aesop couldn't make a moral out of that! hehehe

  19. I don't like coffee. I don't like the taste of it. I don't like to prepare it. The smell can be enjoyable, briefly. The coffee "thing" is not MY thing. But, I've heard it may well have medicinal value. I've seen and smelled the mold that grows on old, cold coffee preparations--it goes a hair beyond disgusting, when I service coffee vending machines. I can see, though, how a nice fresh cup of hot coffee could be a thing...for someone else.

He should get probation; the media who exploited his fraud should, more properly, PAY! If not for the widespread exposure of the incident, there would be no "societal" damage to qualify as such. The bulk of the responsibility for damage falls to the media that proliferated the story for profit. This is the core problem: the media cannot be held responsible for its incompetence; their is no mechanism to do so, since legislation has removed it. This allows one, or both, of two conclusions: this lovely quagmire of incompetent opinion (i.e. "news", social media) is by design, for profit, because they can; and/or they are stupid and incompetent to recognize their own stupidity.

  50. A while back, I read an article about an experiment where a large group of people agreed to meditate on a particular subject simultaneously; something like, "Peace", I think. Then they monitored "the internet" for indications of decrease of crime, for instance. They seemed to find that, at the time of their meditations, crime decreased significantly enough to be statistically noticeable! I know that's not really "cyber" occultism...but it does suggest a psychic connection operating among all people...like all plants are connected through the Earth's soil.
