  2. "Wouldn't it be MORE harmful to society..."!? You just stepped off the edge of reason! Into the muck and mire of "social engineering". "Society" is an artifact of human interaction, a by-product. You can't "engineer" society without "engineering" human interaction, which latter is totalitarianism of some sort or other. Duh.
