Ok, I guess I'm supposed to accept uncritically the implicit assumption that the prevention of "extremism" is, in itself, and, always, desirable, important, or necessary in some unspecified way. Why? "Extremism" is not a real world value, it's an IDEA, in your head...poetry. It can have only indirect agency in the real world. "Extreme" is what you call reality with great potential for immediate action. Is THAT really what you want to PREVENT?!...that's chicken shit...Are you going to LIVE your life, or piss it away avoiding the prospect of dynamic activity--and trying to make everyone else do the same?!...like an old dried up Karen...

  2. Traditionally, conservatism is the refuge of the very afraid: religionists' moral fear, and business's financial fear, drive conservative politics. Conservatism is about preserving the status quo. Don't expect "conservatives" to save the day, in any way but by being dead weight!
