  2. So, you'd bolster your enemy in order to preserve your economy?! Maybe short-sighted...could backfire...but at least you'll be "safe and warm" UNTIL your enemy destroys you! The upside to a de-fanged China is politically incalculable...hegemony is a long-term game...Trump's future as a negotiator means if his bluff is called he's gotta make good...he has to ensure his future bluffs' effectiveness by demonstrating his willingness to suffer by his own word.
