  1. Uh, Mexico HAS a wall on their southern border. Trump's getting on with the Mex pres is pretty huge. If they can get on the same page at the same time in the same place, they can take down the drug cartels ruining life in Mexico and greatly complicating their internal politics.

  2. Trudeau is a phony; and Trump's got a knack for spotting phonies. And Trudeau knows it; he knows his act doesn't work on Trump, and starts to wonder if it really works on anyone (a decidedly unpleasant feeling). AND nobody likes a phony. Trump is looking to create a network of world leaders that he can respect and trust. He's looking for genuine human beings who can drop the crap and get real AT WILL. He's had a good bit of success, except in Europe, where the leaders seem to lean towards insanity.
