  1. The EU wants what china has: an internet firewall that implements their control designs--except the EU wants it to look like THEY are not doing ANYTHING, the tech companies are. They want Chinese-style control without the responsibility. Tech should push back: you want these sites blocked? Then YOU do it! I'd say, this kind of control the EU wants, requiring other countries not in the EU to, essentially, adopt the EU's own political positions/attitudes, amounts to political interference in non-EU countries. How can you avoid that conclusion! Additionally, this EU attempt to subvert the free speech rights of non-EU countries is tantamount to an act of war!
