  1. Hahaha, the "primary season" show is pure theater! Bread and circuses to tranquilize the masses into a stupor of self-importance! The party creates a gauntlet for the candidates to run, to everyone's persuaded delight. But the PARTY has the sole and exclusive responsibility for fielding candidates, and can exercise total discretion. I imagine it goes a little like this: "Ok, we've decided who our candidate will be; now, how do we make it look like the people decided, in the primaries?" Cynical? Or realistic? The point is, is it RIGHT?!
