  1. 50 billion is about what the US spends in foreign aid per year. That's about 5% of the annual budget--keeping the numbers round because the exact values are relatively unimportant--which, while more than I'd like to see, is manageable considering the potential upside. But, yeah, drain off 5 billion of that for the wall = no-brainer.
