  2. Unthinking people freely adopt the opinions of others--they have little other choice since they're unthinking. So, for a lot of people, it's like, "That sounds like an ok opinion, and it's shared by many of my favorite actors, so I guess I'll adopt it as my own opinion." The substance of the opinion is not nearly as relevant as its fashion value.
