  2. You wanna kill a movement? Coopt it! Change it's focus for marketability, and it becomes popularized through its bastardization. A commercial version is born that swamps the original, more philosophic, and, so, less palatable version. Through this confusion, the original movement is successfully marginalized! Is this effect the result of purely capitalistic activity; or, was it the intention to begin with? Idk...a little of this, a little of that...
