  1. Sometimes I think we might be better off requiring certification for the use of words having four or more syllables. For example, "appropriate": defined as, "suitable or proper in the circumstances", requires a complex judgement of "propriety"! My God, man! The word in its usage has devolved to a vague demonstration of disapproval. It's always been the business of muckrakers! The left drives the stupid-people-with-the-same-opinion wagon around to collect other stupid people who see their opinionated attitude validated and encouraged (by the people on the wagon). I've never experienced the pleasure inhering in expressing one's opinion that so many others seem to enjoy...
