  1. A plausible take, Styx, but it might be a bit simpler than that. The UK is a pre-eminent member of the EU, economically speaking. The EU fears for its very existence: what if other countries follow the UK's example? In the meantime, the EU wants its own army! That way, you CAN'T leave. HAHAHAHAHAHA
