  2. Until "science" is de-politicized, this governmental cluster fuck can continue. "Emergency" is the magic word that enables this perfidy; and that emergency is science-based in its justification. Unfortunately, it appears that scientists, alone, have the power to de-politicize their art...which is a little like expecting politicians to relinquish power, that is to say, cosmically unlikely......we are screwed toast...
