Used to be candidates courted media for "exposure"; now, maybe the internet can provide sufficient exposure, cutting out the middleman...hehehe...Now, media courts politicians in order to procure relevance/respectability for itself, as they feel they're political power dissipating. This could be the dawn of an ERA OF POPULISM! IF you can free the internet! With a free internet, virtually anybody has access to sufficient popular exposure to render the traditional avenues of power-brokering obsolete, or ineffectual. You no longer have beg your principles to get dollar support in order to advertise yourself, for the exposure needed to make a splash in the popular awareness. POPULISM could gradually reintroduce to Congress a previously-thought extinct species: the human being.
