The only benefit the government has to offer is organizational: multi-state negotiations necessitated by the interstate highway project can be more efficient when all the parties meet together, symbolized by the federal head/guide. It's certainly not necessary, but it's easier for less capable politicians to handle--all they have to do is participate, they don't have to organize anything..."...until later..."..."...show me, don't tell me..."...

  3. Social security isn't insolvent, in itself; it suffers by being used by congress as a slush fund. Styx is broaching the area of greatest danger: CAFRs! Watch what you say about pension fund investment! I'm not kidding. Stay away from the CAFR scandal, unless you're ready to DIE!
