  1. Sometime over the last 30 years or so, celebration became for me vapid and vacuous, if not downright silly...meaningless and stupid. I don't seem to well or easily accommodate the "spirit of celebration". When called upon to participate in celebration, I think to myself, "Fuck it! Who the hell are YOU! Get to work!" Maybe I'm just finding the "spirit of bah humbug" restful after decades of regular wallet-wrecking bullshit xmas...maybe...
