  1. In basketball you can call a time out for a substitution...why not politics? It's really not that big a deal: the dem party fields someone else. It would destroy the con, that the people have a "say"; no, the PARTY decides which candidates it will field. They're willing to take their cues from the people, 'cause it doesn't matter a wit to the party--they're all dems, doesn't matter much which gets elected. But the voters seem to care...or DO they?!
