  1. No, it doesn't happen with everybody...I find Styx's voice annoying, too! But it's regionally familiar: he sounds like the friends and family I grew up with..."friendly" in the real sense. So, I guess, it's kind of a comforting annoyance, if that description elicits any grok factor at all.
