You internalize everyone you ever meet, everyone you listen to, every book you read, as authorities, specialized reverberations, whose presence acts as a backdrop for your own thinking--eventually; but, in the mean time, you tend to think the reverberations of these internalized authorities ARE your own thinking. Watch out!
