  1. Done right, it's a great idea. The only misuse Styx cites is SWATTING and prank calls. The smart way to use the hotline is to collect information for further vetting. You stake-out illegal immigrant hotspots. It's not smart to act on hotline information directly, as if the information is automatically correct. That's what lazy cops do.
