I've avoided stepping on cats by shuffling--very POWERFULLY! hahaha...I've sent 'em flying six feet in the air--they bounce off walls quite nicely...hahaha...And it's remarkable how THAT CAT never lays down in my path again. They learn WELL under the appropriate influence...hehehe...must be survival trait! I figure cat "owners" have this one last chance to learn the survival trait from their animal charges before Nature lays claim to their unworthy carcasses! I think the "couch", itself, developed as an imitation of catliness...
