  2. Things ARE always exactly as they are supposed to be! The natural order has arisen from the operation of natural law, and, therefore, can only be "correct", and not in any regard "mistaken". If you disagree, you're applying an arbitrary and unnatural standard, and so deserve the full measure of your confusion. However, the rest of us don't really deserve to be put upon by the disruptive results of your confused behavior. This is really the beginning of all social animosity. If you think nature can make mistakes, then you can think you can fix nature's mistakes. Genetic engineering is emerging as a DIY industry, with the advent of cheap, capable gene editing equipment. Today, the guy in his basement engineering his own DNA is a rarity; tomorrow? It's already known that the editing procedure precipitates considerable collateral damage, some of which may border on the disastrous. Not wanting to experiment on themselves, some people might play with the DNA of insects...sounds like fun, until something unintended gets into the wild.
