I really don't know why more people aren't doing just this very thing, analyzing "connections"! Not just connections, but "vocabulary", could be mapped to good effect. This is the kind of thing computers are really good at, at people not so much so. The meta-value of mapping is in pattern recognition: you can't understand what data MEANS until you relate it to other data; and that relational process is necessarily and purposefully biased. Data is neutral; meaning is biased, because in order to be something instead of everything somethings else have to be disregarded. You might say data and meaning are co-locational, as in, different things occupying the same space, but in different dimensions. Any time something is not everything, which is all the time, that particular something is incomplete; indeed, this incompleteness itself IS the negative image of that particular something. Limitation induces Error; without Error, nothing functions--Error is what makes thing work! A zero-tolerance car engine won't run. It's the slop that gives room for things to move around...otherwise...we're "larks tongues in aspic"...a variation on the "gospel of slack"? hehehe
