  1. Cortez's opinion is a hot-button emotional response to the perceived brutalities of capitalism. Try weighing these emotional values: losing a child in a factory accident; and being imprisoned because you HAD a child, when you weren't allowed to by the communist state whose great success means overpopulation. I think I'd take chance of losing a kid...children are, after all, an infinitely renewable resource.

  2. Milton Friedman got a Nobel for proving that capitalism is, in my terms, organic: it is the system that develops naturally, without intention or prompting. It is correct for human beings. But it is corruptible, capable of abuse and "direction", whether well-meaning, or not. Attempting to address capitalism's shortcomings, some thinkers have devised alternatives; but they all suffer from their artificiality, requiring COERCION in order to implement "successfully".
