  1. "Fallen prey to the propaganda..."? Cute, but too glib for my taste, given the pervasiveness of this anti-intelligent behavior. How does a well-educated professional completely lose his noodle?!? And repeatedly over a protracted time period! A better, though, no less glib, expression would be "mass hysteria", which is, again, not elucidative (look it up, youtube!). It seems to me often that such nebulous explanations are meant to obscure the traces that might lead to the unacceptable truth: conspiracy. It's probably the most popular human activity: the activity of illegally, or unethically, maximizing the advantage of a collaboration. You can't doubt that and still maintain a firm grip on reality! No? Ok, amuse me...
