  1. There's still a missing piece in Styx's analysis: the slushiest corporate investment scheme isn't worked by business and industry, but by GOVERNMENT! Every city and state is INCORPORATED! So are their administrative creations! And each one INVESTS heavily in the stock market! This is the ownership vehicle for 80% of the stock market! Government literally OWNS CORPORATE AMERICA! But there is a regulation against "cooperation" among these corporate government entities in the form of stockholder votes. Because the potential exists, in cooperation/collusion, to manipulate the business corporations they're invested in. Say, every city govt invests a bit in GM; taken together, though, these bit sized investments amount to, maybe, the majority of outstanding GM stock! One can only wonder how well that regulation actually WORKS, in practice!
