  2. "Rights" are inherent--they cannot be "ceded"! But rights don't exist without God, right? You've got a God-given right to life. But that right is meaningless if I have a gun! Indeed, that's the attitude of godless government. "Our guns trump your rights!" That's the way it's always been! The closest government has gotten to God is royalty, who ruled by a special dispensation from God--becoming God's representative. The King enjoyed loyalty from the people on this basis. Then came the United States, claiming each individual citizen was a king, a sovereign, having no superior! It's very difficult to make that work in the context of a government with guns. And right now we're running the whole experiment into the ground...
