Personally, I'd hesitate to call four people a "party"--but that's just me. Not ALL the founding fathers were deists, but I take your meaning. I don't see cause to worry that our system will be overtaken by spurious accusations taken seriously--it's too stupid. All you have to do to fix the confirmation process, at least enough to free the log jam, is make it so if no action is taken on a nomination within, say, three weeks, the nominee will be automatically confirmed. You'll get some action!
The real show stopper for me is the fact that Kavanaugh was a minor at the time of the allegations. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but a minor is not considered legally responsible for his actions. In important ways, the minor Kavanaugh is not the same person as the major Kavanaugh. So, conceptually, they are trying to hold one person responsible for the actions of another (which is the essential "logic" of the radical leftist); I don't believe this is considered sound legal principle. We make parents responsible for their children because minors are not legal persons; they are property, under the law.
