  1. I think you have to distinguish well between "interference" and "influence", the latter being the bread and butter of politics, itself. One also needs to distinguish between "propaganda" and "opinion", V-E-R-Y carefully. The reason for such careful discrimination is self-apparent: clarity vs confusion/obscuration. If you want to think clearly, you must distinguish between "SYNONYMS"! Linguistic equivalence is a mine field!
